Checkpoint Charlie était, lors de la division de Berlin, un poste de contrôle à la frontière entre le secteur américain et le secteur russe, à un passage dans le mur de Berlin sur la Friedrichstraße.
Parce que c'était le troisième passage à la frontière entre l'Ouest et l'Est (depuis l'établissement des zones d'influence après la Seconde Guerre mondiale), il a été nommé Charlie, d'après la troisième lettre de l'alphabet phonétique de l'OTAN
