Le château d’Entenstein est un château médiéval entouré de douves situé au centre de la ville de Schliengen. Schliengen est situé dans le district de Lörrach, dans le Bade-Wurtemberg, à l’extrême sud-ouest de l’Allemagne, à proximité de la Forêt Noire.
Les origines du château ne peuvent pas être clairement datées. La première utilisation d’un bâtiment à cet endroit remonte à Walter de Schliengen en 821. Vers l’an 1000, une maison-tour aurait pu être utilisée. Au 13ème siècle, Rudolf von Üsenberg était le propriétaire du château. Le nom du château dérive des mots allemands « Ente » et « Stein », qui signifient canard et pierre. En 1525, Entenstein appartenait à la noblesse de Nagel von der Alten Schönstein et fut ainsi transformé en un manoir plus représentatif.
