Le chemin de fer Hespertal est une ligne historique à écartement normal avec exploitation à locomotive à vapeur près du Hesperbach entre l'Ancienne Gare de Kupferdreh et la Maison Scheppen au bord du Baldeneysee à Essen.
En tant que chemin de fer à voie étroite avec exploitation hippomobile, il a ouvert en 1857 des mines de minerai, puis la mine Pörtingsiepen. La conversion d'une partie des voies en écartement normal a eu lieu de 1877 jusqu'à Hesperbrück. La partie supérieure du chemin de fer Hespertal est restée un chemin de fer à voie étroite.
