Le Herrensee est un petit lac situé à l'extrémité nord-ouest de la vieille ville de Waren dans le district de Mecklenburgische Seenplatte, Mecklembourg-Poméranie-Occidentale.
Le lac, qui était à l'origine presque rond, a été légèrement agrandi lors de la construction du centre d'information et d'expérience de la nature Müritzeum sur sa rive sud. Il a une superficie d'environ 1,5 hectare avec un diamètre de 130 mètres. À l'est, il reçoit l'eau du lac Tiefwarensee, situé à 230 mètres par l'intermédiaire de la Beke, et au sud-ouest, la Beke s'écoule vers la Binnenmüritz, distante de 70 mètres. Le lac abrite quelques petites îles boisées, que les oiseaux aquatiques utilisent pour nicher.
