Le Knock est un point saillant dans la digue à 15 km à l’ouest d’Emden dans la région allemande de l’Est Friesland.At cet endroit à l’extrémité du Knockster Tief est la station de pompage de Siel und Schöpfwerk Knock. L’endroit porte le nom du village de Knock, qui a disparu dans la mer, qui s’est noyé dans une onde de tempête vers 1600. Dans ce village, il y avait un zijl et un ferry pour la ville néerlandaise d’Oterdum, comme liaison entre le Stadsweg et le Conrebbersweg et dans le cadre de la route de la ville de Groningue à Emden et Aurich.
