AC Schnitzer est depuis 1987 une marque de KOHL automobile GmbH, un préparateur automobile basé à Aix-la-Chapelle pour les véhicules du groupe BMW avec ses marques Mini, Land Rover et Jaguar. Le AC du nom de la marque signifie "Aix-la-Chapelle". L'entreprise a des racines communes avec Schnitzer Motorsport, mais est une entreprise économiquement et juridiquement indépendante. La fabrication des pièces est effectuée par des entreprises industrielles, selon les spécifications d'AC Schnitzer.
