L’abbaye de Fraulautern était une communauté de chanoinesses augustines de la noblesse, fondée au 12ème siècle ; il a été supprimé dans les années 1790 pendant la Révolution française. Les bâtiments de l’abbaye, qui existent encore en partie, sont situés à Fraulautern, qui fait maintenant partie de Saarlouis en Sarre, en Allemagne. Entre la Révolution française et 1936, date à laquelle Fraulautern a été incorporé à Saarlouis, les bâtiments ont été utilisés comme hôtel de ville. Ils sont aujourd’hui utilisés par la Grundschule de Fraulautern sous le nom de « Im Alten Kloster ».
