La station de pompage de Gelsenkirchen-Horst est une installation hydraulique mise en service en 1958 par l'Emschergenossenschaft, sur le site du parc Nordstern.
La station de pompage a été nécessaire en raison des affaissements causés par l'exploitation minière au-dessus du champ de mines Nordstern. Son bassin versant à Horst s'étend sur 316 hectares. Auparavant, elle pompait l'eau recueillie vers l'Emscher surélevée et canalisée, aujourd'hui elle évacue la majeure partie par le biais du canal souterrain de l'Emscher vers la station d'épuration de Bottrop. Ce canal fait partie du projet de réaménagement du système de l'Emscher pour alléger l'Emscher des eaux usées.
