L'impianto di pompaggio di Gelsenkirchen-Horst è un'opera idraulica inaugurata nel 1958 dall'Emschergenossenschaft, situata nel terreno del Nordsternpark.
L'impianto di pompaggio è stato necessario a causa dei cedimenti causati dall'attività mineraria sopra il campo minerario di Nordstern. La sua area di drenaggio a Horst è di 316 ettari. In passato pompava l'acqua raccolta nel fiume Emscher, che si trovava più in alto e arginato; oggi smaltisce la maggior parte nell'impianto di depurazione di Bottrop attraverso il canale sotterraneo Emscher. Questo canale fa parte del progetto di riadattamento del sistema Emscher per alleviare il fiume Emscher dalle acque reflue.
