Le château de Frens est un château de la Renaissance situé dans le quartier d’Ichendorf de la ville de Bergheim dans le district de Rhein-Erft en Rhénanie-du-Nord-Westphalie, en Allemagne.
En tant que siège ancestral d’une famille von Frens, le « Castrum Vrenze » est mentionné dès 1263. Au début du 14ème siècle, cette famille a dû s’éteindre, car le château est entré en possession des comtes de Virnebourg. En 1347, Ruprecht von Virneburg vendit la maison à son beau-fils Ritter Rutger von Raitz, dont la famille s’appelait désormais Raitz von Frentz après avoir acquis le château. Le château est resté en possession de cette famille pendant près de 400 ans.
