Depuis 2003, Groß Schönebeck est un village et une ancienne commune du district de Barnim, dans le Brandebourg, en Allemagne. Il a été établi en tant que village indépendant aux 13ème et 14ème siècles.
La communauté se trouve à 12 kilomètres au nord-ouest de Finowfurt, siège de l’administration municipale, et à 20 kilomètres au nord-ouest d’Eberswalde, siège administratif du district. À l’intérieur des limites de Groß Schönebeck se trouvent le district de Böhmerheide, les quartiers habités de Döllner Heide, Sarnow et Sperlingsaue ainsi que les zones résidentielles suivantes : Altlotzin, Döllner Siedlung, Eichheide, Gardix, Grahsee, Klein Dölln, Rehluch et Wildfang.
