Avec ses 365,2 m d’altitude, le Güttlerbüschl est l’un des plus petits sommets de la ville de Neusalza-Spremberg.
La petite montagne est située au nord de la Spree dans une zone urbaine montagneuse, à environ 400 m au nord-ouest du célèbre massif granitique « Schmiedesteine ». Une carte de Matthias Oeder vers 1600 l’appelle « The Grove Mountain ». Son nom actuel est dérivé du nom de famille « Güttler », un habitant de Spremberg à qui il appartenait autrefois, et « Büschl », comme il l’est dans le dialecte de Haut-Lusace, est le diminutif de « Busch ». Récemment, une formation rocheuse remarquable dans le « Güttlerbüschl » a été appelée « l’enclume de Thor » par certains districts de Haute-Lusace, qui la considèrent comme un mystère.
