L'aéroport de Borkum est l'aérodrome de la ville et de l'île de la mer du Nord de Borkum dans les Frise orientale.
L'aéroport a été construit en 1927. Il a d'abord servi à l'aviation civile. Ainsi, une compagnie aérienne néerlandaise a atterri ici sur la route Amsterdam-Stockholm. L'aéroport est situé sur l'île dans la région d'Ostland. Ostland a été largement utilisé à des fins militaires par la marine depuis l'Empire. Avec le réarmement de l'État national-socialiste, l'aéroport a été pris en charge par la Luftwaffe de la Wehrmacht, qui a établi un commandement de station de chasse. De juin à septembre 1941, le 1./JG 52 y était stationné, et de février à mars 1942, le 1./JG 1. Il y avait également des escadrons d'entraînement ici.
