L'hôtel Ringberghaus est situé à l'est de la ville de Suhl et était l'une des constructions les plus controversées de la région de Suhl dans les années 1970.
L'hôtel Ringberghaus bénéficie d'un emplacement exceptionnel au sommet du Ringberg, culminant à 746 m, un sommet secondaire du massif d'Adlersberg, avec Suhl et Suhl-Goldlauter à ses pieds. Le Ringberghaus façonne l'horizon de nombreux points de vue sur la crête de la forêt de Thuringe dans la direction du sud.
