Streckenthin est un village situé dans le village de Beveringen, dans la ville de Pritzwalk, dans le district de Prignitz, au nord-ouest de l’État de Brandebourg. Jusqu’au 31 décembre 2002, Streckenthin était un quartier de Beveringen situé dans l’ancien Amt Pritzwalk-Land.
Streckenthin est situé dans le Prignitz sur la rivière Dömnitz, à environ quatre kilomètres au nord-est de Pritzwalk. Les villages environnants sont Falkenhagen au nord, Mittelmühle et Sadenbeck au nord-est, Neu Krüssow à l’est, Kiebitzberg et Beveringen au sud, Wegemühle, Pritzwalk et Hainhorst au sud-ouest, Hasenwinkel à l’ouest et Birkenfelde au nord-ouest.
