La gare de Wengern West est un ancien point d'arrêt dans la vallée de la Ruhr, dans le quartier de Wengern à Wetter. La ligne de chemin de fer Elbschetal reliant la gare de Witten à la gare de Schwelm le long de la Ruhr et de l'Elbsche a été achevée entre 1910 et 1934. La mise en service du point d'arrêt a eu lieu le 15 mai 1934. Le 30 novembre 1979, le trafic des passagers sur la ligne a été suspendu. Après l'arrêt également du trafic de marchandises en 1980, la ligne a été désaffectée en 1983 et ensuite démantelée.
