Le château de Santa Ana est une forteresse située sur un promontoire rocheux à Castro-Urdiales, sur une péninsule où se trouve également l'église fortifiée de Santa María de la Asunción, les ruines d'une autre église précédente et l'ermitage de Santa Ana, construit comme une tour de guet, relié au château par un pont. Le complexe offre de très belles vues sur la mer, le port et la ville. Un phare a été construit à l'intérieur de l'enceinte en 1853, dont la machinerie occupait la chapelle. C'est l'un des châteaux les mieux conservés du nord de l'Espagne.
