Abscon est une commune française située dans le département du Nord en région Hauts-de-France, dans l'arrondissement de Valenciennes, à l'ouest de Denain.Située à 20 minutes de Douai, ou encore à 10 minutes de Valenciennes, Abscon possède une situation géographique privilégiée. Au contact d'une autoroute, cette ville est la dernière limite du Hainaut et touche le Douaisis. À 59 mètres d’altitude et peuplée de 4 228 habitants, la ville d’Abscon s’étend sur 727 hectares.
