La base sous-marine de Bordeaux est l'une des cinq bases pour sous-marins construites par les Allemands sur la façade atlantique française au cours de la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Construite entre 1941 et 1943, elle accueillit des sous-marins italiens et allemands.Elle abrite aujourd'hui plusieurs espaces culturels : un lieu d'exposition dédié à l'art contemporain, et les Bassins de Lumières, un centre d'art numérique.
