De ce pont, on peut observer les maisons sur pilotis qui donnent sur le Saleys. Même si par beau temps, le Saleys est canalisé, il peut arriver exceptionnellement que l'eau arrive jusqu'au niveau des arcades du pont.
En face, l'Eglise Saint-Vincent, dominée par son clocher, ancienne tour de guet. Avec les fortifications elle faisait partie du système défensif de la ville.
A quelques pas de là, dans la rue des Puits Salants, le Musée du Sel vous retrace l'histoire de Salies; un atelier de façonneur de sel y est reconstitué.
