De vieilles pierres, vestiges de la puissance et de la richesse de la famille de Créhange. Il faut laisser parler son imagination pour visualiser le reste du château : un quadrilatère fortifié de 4 tours rondes et une triple enceinte. L'édifice est déjà mentionné dans les écrits du 12ème siècle. Il fut le témoin de nombreux successeurs, mariages, procès... Il servait de siège à l'administration du comté jusqu'en 1789, année où les droits honorifiques féodaux furent abolis.
