Véritable petit musée de plein air, le Jardin Médiéval présente un large choix de plantes du Moyen-âge : textiles (lin et chanvre), tinctoriales (pastel, guède, garance, indigotier …), médicinales, les plus nombreuses, et plantes dites « de sorcières » auxquelles on attribuait un pouvoir magique !
Le potager offre un éventail des plantes cultivées pour la préparation des repas de l'époque : essentiellement soupes pour les manants, légumes fins et plantes aromatiques ou condimentaires pour accommoder les viandes, réservées surtout aux bourgeois.
Des informations accompagnent chaque plante, donnant son origine et son utilisation au Moyen-âge.
