Bâti à la fin du XVIe siècle, l’hôtel dit « des deux Sirènes », tire son nom d’une sculpture d’angle qui représente, non pas deux sirènes mais deux Tritons enlacés.
Richement sculptée, la porte d’entrée s’orne d’une tête d’indien portant une fraise, collerette très à la mode à cette époque.
C’est dans cette demeure que le duc de Lorraine Nicolas-François (1634) et sa femme Claude de Lorraine, fille du duc Henri II, se réfugièrent afin d’échapper aux Français qui occupaient Nancy et qui voyaient d’un mauvais œil leur mariage. Dans la nuit du 31 mars au 1er avril 1634, le couple ducal, déguisé en hommes du peuple, quitta Nancy et rejoignit Florence.
