Costruito alla fine del XVI secolo, l'hotel noto come "Le due sirene" prende il nome da una scultura d'angolo che non rappresenta due sirene ma due Tritoni abbracciati.
La porta d'ingresso, riccamente scolpita, è ornata da una testa indiana che indossa una fragola, un collare molto in voga all'epoca.
È in questa casa che il duca di Lorena Nicolas-François (1634) e sua moglie Claude de Lorraine, figlia del duca Enrico II, si rifugiarono dai francesi che occupavano Nancy e non vedevano di buon occhio il loro matrimonio. Nella notte tra il 31 marzo e il 1° aprile 1634, la coppia ducale, travestita da popolani, lasciò Nancy e si recò a Firenze.
