Description

Réalisé sur pilotis à la fin du 19ème siècle, le mess des Officiers fait partie des bâtiments nécessaires à la vie militaire. Il fut offert à la garnison par les entreprises chargées de la construction des forts, ouvrages et batteries aux alentours de Verdun. En 1890, la population militaire était aussi importante que la population civile. De nombreuses casernes marquent encore le paysage verdunois.
