L'église surprend par la beauté de sa façade XVIIIème siècle, son clocher couvert par un dôme en cuivre et par son intérieur entièrement peint. La façade est de 1736, de style classique pur. Le clocher, octogonal, est de 1852, oeuvre de l'architecte bordelais Pierre-Paul Courau.
La construction du Grand Orgue Bernard Cogez (nom du facteur d'orgue qui l'a conçu) marque un intérêt supplémentaire. Les vitraux ont été réalisés par Joseph Villet, maître verrier bordelais de 1861 à 1868.
