Plus ancien chevalement du Bassin Houiller Lorrain, le puits Sainte Marthe est un vestige de l’industrie extractive sur le territoire. Témoin de la recherche de houille dans le sous-sol stiringeois, le Puits Sainte-Marthe, symbole de la ville de Stiring-Wendel, est devenu un bien collectif par intégration dans le patrimoine communal, mais également un lieu de mémoire au style architectural unique dans notre région.
