Ce lion travaillé dans le béton marquait l’entrée du poste de secours principal (PSP) allemand : KONIGSTEIN. Il a été construit d’octobre 1917 à juin 1918 par la 635ème compagnie sanitaire royale saxonne comme l’indique une inscription sur son socle.On voit encore bien l’entrée des tunnels creusés dans la côte de craie, casematant en partie l’hôpital.C’était une véritable ville qui avait pris place aux environs du village de Sugny. Au total, ce sont 6002 militaires qui transiteront par ce PSP.
