L'église du XIIe siècle à Arthon est ornée de fresques contemporaines aux couleurs vives, créées par les artistes parisiens Line et Claude Malespina. Illustrant des scènes bibliques telles que Caïn et Abel, Moïse, ou encore le baptême du Christ, ces œuvres impressionnantes ont été réalisées entre 1947 et 1952. Ce projet a vu la participation active des habitants, des pompiers et des structures locales, qui ont tous apporté leur contribution pour soutenir les Malespina dans leur travail. Cet effort collectif a transformé l'église en un véritable joyau artistique, mêlant héritage religieux et art contemporain.
