Le Mémorial National des Incorporés de Force a été érigé en 1956 par la section cantonale de l'ADEIF d'Obernai, en souvenir des 272 victimes, mortes ou disparues du canton durant le seconde Guerre Mondiale.
Le belvédère offre un superbe panorama sur la ville d'Obernai et une vue vers le Mont Sainte-Odile.
C'est aussi le point de départ du sentier viticole du Schenkenberg.
