Bradford Abbas est un village et une paroisse civile du Dorset, en Angleterre. Il est situé dans le nord-ouest du comté, près de la frontière avec le Somerset, à 5 km au sud-est de la ville de Yeovil.
L'élément Bradford est un toponyme courant en Angleterre. Il est d'origine vieil-anglaise et fait référence à un gué large, de brād « large » et ford « gué ». Il est attesté sous la forme Bradanforda en 933. Dans le Domesday Book, compilé en 1086, le nom du village est orthographié Bradeford.
