La gare de Barnstaple est le terminus nord de la ligne Tarka et dessert la ville de Barnstaple, dans le Devon. Elle est située à 39 miles et 75 chaînes d'Exeter Central au point kilométrique 211,25 de Londres Waterloo. Elle est gérée par Great Western Railway, qui opère également le service de train.
Elle a ouvert en 1854 mais, de 1874 à 1970, elle était connue sous le nom de gare de Barnstaple Junction car elle était le point de croisement entre les lignes vers Ilfracombe, Bideford, Taunton et Exeter.
