Le col du Stelvio est le plus haut col routier des Alpes italiennes avec 2 758 mètres d'altitude. Reliant Bormio en Lombardie à Prato allo Stelvio dans le Trentin-Haut-Adige, c'est aussi le second plus haut col routier des Alpes après le col de l'Iseran ,. Le col, situé dans le parc national du Stelvio, se trouve au pied d'imposants sommets tels que l'Ortles, le mont Scorluzzo ou le Piz Umbrail.
