Le Ponte Santa Trìnita est le plus ancien pont à arc elliptique du monde, les trois ellipses aplaties donnant à la structure son apparence élégante célébrée. Le pont a été construit par l'architecte florentin Bartolomeo Ammanati de 1567 à 1569. Le 8 août 1944, le pont a été détruit par des troupes allemandes en retraite, mais a été reconstruit en 1958 avec des pierres originales remontées de l'Arno et de la carrière d'origine.
