Le château actuel de Wijnandsrade se situe dans la commune de Nuth. C'est un bâtiment partiellement entouré de douves, composé de trois ailes autour d'une cour intérieure. À l'arrière du château se trouve une motte, entourée par le fossé du château. Sur cette motte, une colline artificielle, se trouvait le château original. À côté du château se trouve une ferme de château, l'ancienne borchhof, composée de trois ailes autour d'une grande cour intérieure. La motte castrale est mentionnée pour la première fois au douzième siècle.
