Le premier site naturel que vous rencontrerez sur la route est le Spoolderbos. Ce morceau unique de nature a été créé en 1980 à l'occasion du 750e anniversaire de Zwolle. De l'autre côté de la Willemsvaart se trouve le Spoolderberg. Bien avant que Zwolle ne devienne la capitale de l'Overijssel en 1798, les nobles d'Overijssel tenaient ici leurs parlements et l'évêque d'Utrecht rendait justice.
