Le château de Hooge Vuursche est une maison de campagne du début du XXe siècle.

Les vastes forêts entre Baarn et Hilversum appartiennent au XIXe siècle à la demoiselle Louise Charlotte Rutgers van Rozenburg (1854 - 1908) et sont connues sous le nom de Hooge Vuursche. Elle épouse le jeune Johannes Adrianus Leonard van den Bosch, et ensemble, ils vivent dans une maison à l'endroit où se trouve maintenant le château.

Après son décès, Van den Bosch épouse la baronne van Hardenbroek et commande à l'architecte Eduard Cuypers de construire un château. De nombreux ornements sont des représentations liées à la navigation, car Van den Bosch est officier de marine marchande. Les jardins sont aménagés par le paysagiste Tersteeg de Naarden.
