Vorden est une commune de Bronckhorst. Le village doit probablement son nom au mot 'voorde', qui signifie lieu gué. Il est devenu une paroisse autonome en 1235. Vorden est également connu sous le nom de village des châteaux, célèbre pour ses huit châteaux. Huis Vorden, château Hackfort, Kieftskamp et De Wildenborch, pour en nommer quelques-uns, seront visités lors de notre trajet Châteaux et Maisons de campagne. Dans le centre de Vorden, il y a plusieurs cafés où les assoiffés peuvent se désaltérer.
