Vorden, is een deelgemeente van Bronckhorst. Het dorp dankt zijn naam vermoedelijk aan het woord 'voorde', dat doorwaadbare plaats betekent. Het werd in 1235 een zelfstandige parochie.Vorden wordt ook wel het kastelendorp genoemd, bekend om zijn acht kastelen. Huis Vorden, kasteel Hackfort, de Kieftskamp en De Wildenborch om er enkele te noemen zullen we passeren tijdens onze rit Kastelen en Landhuizen. In het centrum van Vorden zijn er verschillende cafeetjes waar dorstigen zich kunnen laven.
