Vorden es una subdivisión de Bronckhorst. El pueblo debe su nombre, probablemente, a la palabra 'voorde', que significa lugar vadeable. En 1235 se convirtió en una parroquia independiente. Vorden también se conoce como el pueblo de los castillos, famoso por sus ocho castillos. Casa Vorden, castillo Hackfort, el Kieftskamp y De Wildenborch, por mencionar algunos, los pasaremos durante nuestro recorrido 'Castillos y Casas de Campo'. En el centro de Vorden hay varios cafés donde los sedientos pueden saciar su sed.
