Vorden è una frazione di Bronckhorst. Il villaggio deve il suo nome probabilmente alla parola 'voorde', che significa luogo attraversabile. Nel 1235 divenne una parrocchia autonoma. Vorden è anche conosciuto come il villaggio dei castelli, famoso per i suoi otto castelli.
