La tour d'eau de Steenbergen a été construite en 1950 et a été conçue par l'architect Jacques Hurks. La tour a une hauteur de 40,65 mètres et possède un réservoir d'eau de 600 m3. La tour est faite de briques et de béton.
Entre 1998 et 2000, la tour est restée vide. En 2000, la crèche "Toerdeloo" s'est installée dans la tour après une importante rénovation.
