La Staatsmijn Emma était une mine de charbon néerlandaise qui a été située entre Treebeek (à l'époque municipalité de Heerlen, aujourd'hui municipalité de Brunssum) et Hoensbroek (aujourd'hui municipalité de Heerlen) de 1911 à 1973. L'Emma, où le charbon gras était principalement extrait pour un usage industriel, était la deuxième plus grande mine de charbon des Pays-Bas. La mine comptait cinq niveaux situés à 325, 410, 546, 700 et 855 mètres sous la surface. Avec plus de 109 millions de tonnes de charbon, elle a atteint la plus haute production nette totale de toutes les mines des Pays-Bas.
