Le Rheder- et Worthrhederheide est situé dans la partie centrale du Parc National de Veluwezoom. Il comprend de la lande, des forêts et des sables mobilisables, pour un total d'environ 850 ha. Le point culminant de la Veluwe se trouve dans cette zone : Signal Imbosch, à 110 m d'altitude. Pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale, le poste radar allemand Teerose II était situé près de ce point. Sur l'Elsberg, Natuurmonumenten a aménagé un point de vue.
