Les Forêts Maudites est le nom d'une zone forestière ancienne dans le parc national néerlandais de Veluwezoom, situé à Veluwe, dans la municipalité de Rheden. L'origine de ce nom n'est pas entièrement claire. Il est le plus probable qu'il soit dérivé du mot moyen néerlandais "on-saelig" qui signifie misérable. En effet, le sol était pauvre en nutriments et donc pas très adapté à l'agriculture. La région forestière vallonnée est principalement composée de chênes et est traversée par quelques allées de hêtres, dont l'allée droite de Koningslaan. L'écorce de chêne des Forêts Maudites a longtemps été utilisée pour le tannage du cuir.
