Le Corversbos est une zone forestière, alternée avec des champs encore en usage et quelques anciennes fermes. Tant la forêt que les champs sont gérés par Natuurmonumenten.
La zone faisait autrefois partie de Gooilust, où M. Gerrit Corver Hooft fit construire le manoir. Ce qu'il était autrefois est encore visible à l'allée de hêtres de près de 2 kilomètres qui mène de l'est de Hilversum au manoir.
