L'église de Midwolda est une église à nef double construite en 1738 dans le village de Midwolda, dans la commune d'Oldambt, qui est également connue pour son orgue exceptionnel datant de 1772. L'église actuelle a remplacé l'église médiévale à quatre tours de Midwolda qui, selon la tradition, était le plus grand édifice religieux de la province de Groningen. Comme le village s'était déplacé vers une arête de sable située plus au sud pour mieux se protéger des inondations de la Dollard, l'église croisée était devenue isolée. De plus, le bâtiment était devenu de plus en plus en ruine et l'une des tours s'était déjà effondrée.
