Le canal Amsterdam-Rijn est le canal entre Amsterdam et Tiel (de l'IJ à la Waal). Il relie le port d'Amsterdam à la région de la Ruhr (Allemagne) et est le canal le plus fréquenté du monde. Le canal mesure 72 kilomètres de long, 100 à 120 mètres de large et 6 mètres de profondeur.
