La maison d'origine a été construite vers 1725 dans le style Louis XIV. De cette plus ancienne construction, il ne reste que quelques vieux murs à l'aile près du parc. Derrière le bâtiment principal se trouve une belle cour intérieure entourée par une ferme de château dont une aile contient une écurie. À côté de la maison se trouve un parc avec deux étangs, aménagés au début du 20e siècle comme embellissement d'un ancien parc paysager datant d'environ 1800.
Un des étangs a une île au centre. De plus, il y a dans le parc une maison de bain, un pont ornemental et une horloge solaire. Le château d'origine a été mentionné pour la première fois en 1374 sous le nom de Huize de Dael et était habité par la noblesse des Van Vlieck. Leur forteresse aurait été située sur l'île de l'étang actuel.
