La chapelle a une importance culturelle et historique générale en tant qu'expression du développement culturel et spirituel dans le Brabant septentrional, en particulier la diffusion de la dévotion mariale durant l'Entre-deux-guerres.
Elle a une valeur architecturale en raison de la place qu'elle occupe dans l'œuvre de l'architecte Valk.
